Swsh had the worst story, worst gimmick and laziest game in yhe franchise. It removed the national dex , and its only gimmick was to enlarge the pokemon 10 times its size. The only thing good was the gym leader designs.... thats it. Most of the pokemon modeld were also direct copies from Usum, so nothing new. Unlike S/V were they finally improved the models and moves. Overall making it worst pokemok title, sth thr majority of the community agrees on. Its hated for a reason

Wow this list is absolute trash. Sure, everyone has their own personal opinions, but damn this was painful to watch. Ive played every mainline pokemon game since I started with blue as a kid. Ill die on the hill that SwSh is currently the best one so far. It had the best improvements and ease of training of all games, had a great gym challenge storyline and banger music. Raids were awesome, dlc was awesome and it had the battle tower (though arguably worse than other entries). I had no problems with the game and greatly enjoyed replaying it when I lost my save file. Screw the haters. SV just went backwards in a lot of ways from what swsh had improved upon, so it deserves a lower spot than swsh but that wasnt a terrible game either. The latest dlc redeems it in my eyes. Putting sun/moon at the bottom should be a crime. It was a great game and I really enjoyed playing through it. It had a great setting, decent story and a great evil team and music. Id put it at least at B tier.

Sun and Moon below Scarlet and Violet is such a strange take to me because I would MUCH rather take a game that has a lot of cutscenes and dialogue over a game that has an aneurysm every five steps.

putting sun and moon at F is not something i can agree with. for YEARS people kept complaining that the formula was getting stale, and the enemies were getting too over the top nonsensical and cartoonishly dumb. sun and moon sun and moon completely changed things, not only that the setting is really diferent. being a better implementation of the archipelago they tried(and failed in my opinion) in the ruby/saphire games. its specially something i disagree, when seeing the let's go games so far above, being games i genuinely despise, for being so absurdly boring. the fact you have to level pokemon by catching multiples feels so wrong, to the point i dont get how they ever thought it was a good idea. it went from a game where you have to build and learn about your pokemon, to a poacher's game that only cares about numbers.

The problems with BDSP went very far beyond the games not being platinum my dude and you know it. The games looked bad, they were filled with glitches and were unfinished on release as you needed to download a patch to complete it, the games were objectively the worst remakes not even introducing any new features to the sinnoh region, the games were also probably the easiest pokemon games until the elite 4 where they just became ridiculous hard with competitive level mons out of nowhere so the difficulty balance was also terrible. They are objectively the worst pokemon games even tho I personally hate sword and shield more. Anyways my pokemon games list in order... Playing sword made me dislike Pokémon, scarlet/violet wasn’t bad as many people think, I still think the older ones are the best specifically red and emerald :))

The only Pokémon games I truly hated were: Scarlet/Violet (I bought Violet.) Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl (I bought Diamond.) Sword/Shield (I bought Shield.) You have this amazing game in Pokémon: Arceus and it changed the gameplay mechanics and you could catch most Pokémon quite easily. Including not even having to engage in battles at all. You could stun them repeatedly and then you could catch them! Then, there were shinies galore! It was the only game that I completed the entire Pokédex for because it was not that tedius. So, that I could catch more shinies with the shiny charm! Plus, the inclusion of Alphas and being able to get shiny versions of them was just plain awesome! I could to into a Massive Mass Outbreak and catch up to 5 shinies at a time and that kicked ass! My first shiny in that game was a Drifloon. I also remember riding on a Sneasler and climbing up and the very first Toxicroak I saw was a shiny one! I played the game for a good solid 2-3 months, just shiny hunting and that was so much fun! It was the only time I ever did shiny hunting because I just don't have the patience like in other games. We also got a shiny sound! When they appeared, we got the sound! It was great for when we didn't see them right away. We would know they were there, just by hearing the sound! Then, we just had to look around until we found them! Before that game released, I had to deal with BD/SP. Absolute trash! The Pokémon were back to randomly appearing instead of being in the overworld, unless you went underground and underground was just plain boring! They also made the shinies invisible to the eye. They looked normal in the overworld underground and the only way you would see them is if you entered battle with them. I caught no shinies in the game and I didn't want to bother shiny hunting. I used the Poké Radar and did it correctly and got the sound and music with the ruffling grass, but it didn't always continue and that was frustrating af! I did it right and I got shat on and it stopped! WTF? Then, Giratina and Shaymin were DLC instead of Giratina being part of the main story like it should have been because it was in Platinum! By the time those DLC came out, I had already quit playing the game and was awaiting PL:A. S/S was dumb. I absolutely hated the raid battle and Dynamaxing/Gigantamaxing do anything special for the game. Sure your Pokémon grew and some of them changed forms, but whoopee. You get stronger attacks, but that didn't matter because the stats of your Pokémon don't change. The cutscene for Dynamaxing/Gigantamaxing your Pokémon was also annoying because you had to see it every single time! The raid battles were way too long and were quite tedious. That sucked the fun out of the game. The only thing I liked about S/S were the new Galarian forms and the main legendary Pokémon. Zacian and Zamazenta. I got Zamazenta. The Galarian Legendary Bird Trio were awesome, too. What was pure bullshit was all the things you had to do to get Calyrex and then you couldn't bring it into Pokémon Home to transfer to the next Pokémon game! FFS! All that hard work goes down the drain! Stupid GameFreak! Very stupid! After PL:A, we got dumpster fire games in S/S. After having such cool new gameplay mechanics, what does GameFreak do? Give us the same washed up, old ass gameplay that we fans grew tired of because it was always the same! Why GameFreak, why? Then, we get 2 Legendary Pokémon we can ride the entire game, but they've been weakened and they gain back new abilities from sandwiches. From sandwiches? GameFreak, are you high? Terastallization was just plain stupid! I hated that we got raid battles again and the crystalized Pokémon and the crowns were just plain stupid! I don't need to change my Pokémon types. I'm happy with what they have for types. Only Arceus, Silvally and Kecleon should have that ability! The paradox Pokémon look so stupid, too! They should have just made it so you could travel to the future and catch future Pokémon and not have paradox forms of existing Pokémon and travel to the past and catch past Pokémon and not have paradox forms of existing Pokémon! Evolving Gimmigoul into Gholdengo was tedious af! You needed 999 Gimmighoul coins! Ridiculous! Then, in order to get the shiny charm, you needed to catch 400 Pokémon! Tedious af! In order to get shiny Pokémon, you needed to make sandwiches and the ingredients were expensive and even if you upped your chance it was still very hard to find legendary Pokémon. I only catch a shiny Bisharp and a shiny Psyduck. I already caught a shiny Psyduck in PL:A! I also traded for a shiny Golduck. It was actually the hardest shiny for me to catch. Well, I abandoned all of my Pokémon I caught in Violet version and traded it in at GameStop before the DLC came out because I didn't care. Also, the stupid thing was that you have an open world game and lots of buildings you could not explore. That defeats the purpose of an open world game! Then there's the lack of Paldean Pokémon. Wooper with its new form Clodsire and then 3 different forms of Paldean Tauros? That's it? Those were my favourite feature from S/M and S/S! Why do they not care? Also, no new evolutions for Eevee! They killed the pattern with S/S and continued it in S/V! They even teased us an showed Eevee evolving on IG, only to troll us and show them evolving into Espeon and Umbreon. WTF GameFreak? We're long overdue for new evolutions for Eevee! So, there should be a meme of "Forever 8." I'm surprised there isn't one. If that's how they are going to do an open world Pokémon game, then I sincerely hope that Gen X is not an open world game because S/V were dumpster fires! Also, why tf do they still need to make 2 games? Nobody needs that anymore. Nobody trades in person anymore. It's all done online now. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon dropped down to only 1 game. So, it's time for the main series to do the same. I want all the Pokémon available to catch to be in one game! I want new evolutions for Eevee! I think we should get 6. To make up for only 1 new 1 in X/Y, when I had heard there were going to be 3 and none in S/S and S/V! The new types of evolutions for Eevee should be: Dragon Steel Ghost Fighting New Type New Type I want 2 new Pokémon types in Gen X! Then it should have difficulty settings. Very Easy Easy Medium Hard Very Hard Legendary Very Easy and Easy can keep the system of showing what's super effective, not very effective and immunity, but as soon as it gets to Medium and on, it shouldn't exist. I don't want to know because I have it memorized anyway. Why they did that in the first place, I don't know. I think it's rather stupid because in the old games, we didn't have that. For Gen X, I also would love it if we could visit all 9 other regions! That would be awesome! Give us a long storyline! GameFreak should take notes from AlphaDream. The creators of Mario & Luigi series. Those games were very long! Line storylines makes for more game to play and it would be a lot more fun! They should make it so that you can't use any of your high level Pokémon in each region. It think this would be very doable on the Switch 2! It will have a high capacity. So, 10 regions in 1 Pokémon game would be pure awesome! Rebattling all 72 gym leaders would be awesome! Then rebattling all 10 elite leagues would also be awesome! Our chances of catching shiny Pokémon should be higher and then they should add super rare shiny Pokémon! Ones that are different coloured than the normal shiny Pokémon we get and those can be harder to find. They should also make shiny Pokéballs, Great Balls, a shiny Master Ball etc! Buying 10 or more ups, your chance for getting a shiny catching ball! No more raid battles! They need to remove them! They are too long and unfun! Then, they should have a big amount of regional forms and we should get 200+ new Pokémon and no Pokémon through DLC! They should all be in the game! The game should also have the same gameplay mechanics as PL:A! Also, we should be able to have more than 1 Pokémon following us an all big Pokémon should be ridable! I'd love to ride a Pokémon, have one on my shoulder and 1 following me at the same time! That would kick ass! All my ideas > GameFreak's

My first pokemon game was pokemon brilliant diamond on switch and have played all switch games.. I then recently completed pokemon blue and it was alot of fun but I got lost alot😅 I'm now collecting all pokemon games to play them all but playing from gen 1-9 with one game at a time.. I'm playing pokemon gold now and enjoying it.. so far my favourite pokemon game is pokemon arceus because it's unique to the others I've played

my issues with BDSP: - TMs were back to being consumables. Like why, why are you going back to forcing us to take difficult choices when deciding who learns what. ORAS used the gen6 format of TMs being infinite, why are we taking a step back here. For nostalgia's sake?? - The pokedex is almost, if not, as bad as it was in the original games. Lots of people expected the remakes to improve upon the game, instead of repeating on the same mistakes. Platinum improvements were completely ignored. For nostalgia's sake??? - Glitchy af, I kept seeing a bunch of weird stuff happening in the underground like ghost people walking on impassable terrain, weird collision with the smallest objects and secret bases being completely pointless. ORAS bases were incredible, there was so much you could do with them. BDSP bases were just amalgamations of ugly statues :((( - What happened to the post game? Oh yeah, the post game was good in Platinum, and apparently we don't talk about Platinum in the Sinnoh remakes T_T Overall it didn't feel like a real improvement over the original DP other than in the graphics department. It was like, chibi DP with no substance to it. As a huge fan of Pokémon Platinum it felt like a punch in the face and a kick in the groins. I'm pretty sure the fans were hoping for more Platinum-like content AND major QoL stuff, basically the ORAS treatment, and instead we just got a port. I love the chibi art style but god does that, and I guess the new catchable pokémon in the underground, was the only good thing in these remakes

RBY were the OG, but in retrospect they were obviously flawed. GSC were an improvement on the formula, but in a way felt flat. The postgame (?) Kanto section was lacking. Ruby gets the Nostalgia goggles, but Emerald was just the superior gen 3 game, and ORAS was a worthy remake. Platinum far outstrips the other Sinnoh games. I never played BW2, but the original pair were just alright. Seasons were a gimmick I won't miss. Kalos... sucked. Team Flare's motives were ill-defined, and the gyms/E4 were possibly the easiest they've ever been. Gameplay wise, SM/USUM were handholdy, but they had story. (Honestly, I prefer SM over the Ultra plot). LGPE feels like toddler's first Kanto game. Probably my pick for worst. SwSh and it's DLC was honestly an interesting take on the same formula, and the story, while shallow, actually had the adults doing something. SV's open-world gameplay is actually a nice change of pace. A bit too easy tbh, but there's some real impact to the story beats too.
